Harming yourself without knowing?

Postby DevonR » Sat May 31, 2008 1:32 am

Well, here is an interesting "analogy" I created by accident. Upon drinking my juice it slowly began to get more and more rotten, (and eating anything rotten isn't really good for you...) however, since I would slowly drink the juice during the day, I could hardly tell it was "spoiling" until it was too late and I unknowingly was drinking something I would not normally drink...

That is what we have to be careful of, sometimes certain things will slowly get us, but we have to prevent them and become aware BEFORE the damage is done.

The reason why my juice spoils so quickly now is because I had left some juice rot in it, so now it is "contaminated" a bit. It takes time to repair the mistakes you do, so prevent them!

That's my parable of "the rotting juice!" mmmm tasty.

"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that naturewill reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life." Eph. 6:7-8
