The Terrible Tragedy

There was a time when everyone was traveling the road. The road was dark and difficult for some, and for others it was nice and easy.

Along the way, some got news of the bridge ahead was out, and there was a terrible raging river flowing around it.

The ones who got the news started warning people about the bridge and the flood. Many of the people were very alarmed, while others didn't believe the news, and yet others wanted to know more about it before they did anything else. There were even some who decided that they were very capable people, who could make their own way across the flood and the broken bridge.

The one's who listened to the news began following another road, not knowing exactly how a raging river could be crossed on any road but trusting that the news was correct about safe passage.

All the others stayed on their original path.

While on the new road, some became weary. They decided to rejoin the others on the old road. But those who stayed on the new road found that though it was more difficult to travel on, it was leading them to higher places, and so they felt encouraged and stayed true to the new road.

Those who traveled the old road reached the bridge. They saw it was out, but when they noticed the broken bridge the water surged and swept most of them away and they drowned. Some of them who were left standing there decided to build their own bridge, and as they progressed they fell off of their platform, and also drowned. The ones who were left after that tried to find another path. Very few of them found the new road, and they took it and were glad to be in higher places; away from the raging waters.

While the only ones left on the old road tried climbing trees, riding animals, and trusting in themselves to make it across. They all perished in whatever they did.

On the new road, the people found another bridge. It was high above the water, and built better than the bridge on the old road. The people who reached the new road crossed the bridge and saw a great city that they could not see the expanse of because it was so huge.

They stayed in that city and met the reporter who told them about the new road, the old road, the bridge on the old road, and the flood that killed everyone else. They gladly accepted him as their king, and made sure that He was always a part of what they did. He always was good company to have around after all.

The End
Ezekiel 33
13 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.
